So we went to California for a bit to visit various family members. Maia's first birthday party was actually on my birthday and we joined them for a garden party in San Francisco before driving to Folsom to celebrate Aunt Sylvia's birthday. Maia refused to try a bite of her birthday cupcake at the party. Everyone else thought they were yummy though.

I think that was Maia's favorite part of her party, carrying the cup around and putting things in and out of it. She's very good at that.
