Terran Turns 6! (and where did the time go?)

The boys are waiting very patiently for us in the morning for Terran to be able to open his presents. It's just like Christmas early. Guess what is hidden under that sheet...

Terran wanted me to knit him a pocket snake from yarn we got made from the sheep at our CSA farm. He has since told me he wants me to knit him a better one, hmmm... But he wanted one that could fit in his pocket!

I wanted to make him some sort of bike cake since the bday had such a bike theme to it. Found directions on-line that sounded so easy for making a bike out of candy on top of the cake. Well, our gluten free cake was delicious, but because it was gooey it sunk in the middle and the candy bike sunk into the middle too. Plus, I had a hard time finding all the correct candy pieces to use. But I think it looked pretty cute for a first attempt at that sort of thing.
T posing with his cake. He was already hydrating for the party, with his camelbak on.

Here's the birthday boy. His party was at Boulder Indoor Cycling and the kids got to ride on the mountain bike course. They all had a great time and had very sweaty heads when we took their helmets off to eat.

  1. The bike cake looks great! That's a really tall cake. Layers?
