Zane turned 3!

The birthday cake: Zane had told me he wanted a dinosaur cake and then later and train, so Terran had the idea for dinosaur train. I made it very simple, but he was pretty pleased with it. This is a chocolate beet cake made with our CSA beets, by the way.

The actual birthday with his apple raspberry crumble pie, which was delicious, compliments to the baker (that would be me). Yes, Michael is growing a dorky 80s beard for his xmas party on this thurs, don't ask because I don't really see the humor in sandpapering your wife's face for a few weeks just to look like a dork at a party.  He's been given an ultimatum to shave it immediately afterwards.
